Alexandra de Kempf
Alexandra is a Venezuelan-German mixed-media artist who currently resides in Germany.
She has studied broadly, including architecture at the Central University, Venezuela. She has also studied product design at the University of Cambridge, UK, as well as city planning at Cornell University, USA.
Her main inspirations are Gustav Klimt, Frida Kahlo and the photography of Jerry Uelsmann. The main subject of her work is womanhood, and symbology is an essential part of her visual language.
She’s passionate about experimenting with mediums and materials in her 2D or 3D collages, creating new things out of old, forgotten, or discarded objects, or paper.
Alexandra has produced several solo exhibitions in Germany and participated in several collectives in Europe, Miami and Buenos Aires.
She is currently seeking agency representation and is available for commissions upon request.
