Ivan Simon is a contemporary artist who lives in the Slovak Republic. He has been working in the area of art since his childhood, using it as an avenue to express his feelings through drawing and painting.

“My artworks can be considered both contemporary and abstract, where I express the state of mind and feelings of colour”. His inspirations include Vincent van Gogh, Paul Gauguin, Paul Cézanne and other post-impressionists.

He primarily works with oil and acrylic on canvas, experiments with mixed media, and develops his work using digital methods. Ivan studied art for eight years and has remained faithful to the arts. For many years he worked as a graphic designer and has recently returned to painting and making art. His motto is “creativity is the greatest expression of liberty”.

He has twice exhibited in Italy. His awards include winning the European Poster Contest for the Huawei Honor 8X in Prague, Czech Republic and also winning the International Poster Competition for Huawei Honor in Paris.
