Raf Reyes

From mixed media collages to analog, often graffiti based performances and counter-cultural practice of digital art, Raf Reyes, a globally-based originally Parisian 21-year-old artist (who got started in London then Hong-Kong and later Singapore) produces visually dramatic occasions to (re)consider our very own inner consciousness, the natural world, modern consumer society and the manner in which they all interact.

Raf Reyes explores sub-conscience on the daily, using all possible knowledge and techniques available ranging from pop art to photography through to collage and other emerging digital art trends such as vaporwave, glitch art, grime/slime. Raf exacerbates reality while balancing order and chaos seamlessly to further enter surreal spaces via his signature mixture of traditional vs modern art techniques. He conceives his art as a little game between him and the spectator, leaving hints to the viewer referencing objects, feelings and inspirational artists. He fancies comparing the hundreds of layers of his digital artworks to the layers of our unique minds. Raf REYES is represented by DARMO Art an accelerative network of curators, gallerists, investors, bloggers and developers.

Raf sold out every piece of his dozen artworks exhibited during his major breakout ‘Metamorphoses’ exhibition held in Galerie Gismondi (20 Rue Royale, 75008 PARIS).
