Susanne Hassler

Susanne Hassler is a photographer, retoucher and cinematographer. She is currently based in Graz, Austria, but likes to call herself a citizen of the world.

She began to take pictures at a young age when given her grandfather’s old Rolleiflex. Curiosity and wanderlust made her move to Colorado at the age of fifteen. She studied in Vancouver, BC, where she graduated from both VFS Film School and Focal Point Photography School.

Her style is defined by the study of light and darkness and its poetic relation to all matters within and without, combined with a specific distant cinematic sensibility.
