You Mee Cho
Illustrator You Mee Cho’s work conveys an innocent, honest description of the emotions, sadness and loneliness she felt as a child, injecting those memories with light, hopeful and pure realizations she has gained over time.
“My creativity combines personal memories, meaningful experiences and technical skills. I consider art to be an indissoluble unity of passion for creativity, life experience and technical skill to transform my ideas and feelings into artwork.”
She has exhibited her work extensively, including shows in the United States, her work “Imago Mundi” showcased in the 55th International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale 2013 and the Cow International Design Festival in Ukraine. Her work was also selected for the set design of the movie Song One starring the Academy Award-winner Anne Hathaway.
You Mee was professionally trained at Parsons The New School for Design in New York City where she received her Bachelor of Fine Art degree in Illustration.
