Soongsup Shin

Stylistically combining surrealism and pop culture in his contemporary artwork, art director, UI designer and illustrator Soongsup Shin is an award-winning artist working across user interface & interactive designs as well as the art industry.

After graduating from Pratt Institute, he had several exhibitions with his digital artwork, “Mistreatments” and “The Spot I Feel Warm”. Since then, he has moved back to the design industry and now works as a branding and visual UI designer.

His illustrations and iconography have provided visually solid branding solutions for various start-up companies. Conceptually, he is interested in animal and human behaviors and combining them into one creature. His enjoyable work results in clean and simple illustrations, also conveying humour. 

His works have featured in several books, such as New Trends in GUI, International Contemporary Artist Vol. VIII, Coupist Magazine and more.
