Agnes Skipper

Agnes Skipper is a Danish artist currently residing in Basel, Switzerland. With a playful, versatile style exemplified in her works, it’s not surprising that Agnes chose to study childcare and work with children. After working for ten years, she quit her childcare job to instead nurture and grow her artistic talent.

Agnes is mostly self-taught, other than one year of art school from the Copenhagen School of Art. She uses a combination of acrylic paint and markers to paint on everything from stone to paper.

“Sometimes big and colourful and sometimes small and black and white, I love to experiment with my expression, mix it together, take it apart. Mix the abstract and figurative. My creations are my language, they are small stories of life, often inspired by nature.”
