Simone Conti
Simone Conti is a self-taught painter, based in Barcelona. He prefers to work using a wide range of “shiny and bright colours” which change from time to time, but he always chooses warm shades. The main subjects of his art are people of different ages and sexes. The portraits are not limited to a canonical aspect but focus on the person itself, on all their beauty and colourful soul.
Another person completes each of his paintings. When the painting is almost finished, the subject of the artwork, or the commissioner, complete the work with the last unique and colourful brushstroke. This final act creates a deep and strong connection between the commissioner and the artist itself. The subject’s essence becomes visible on the work; they can choose the colour to use, the place on canvas and shape to make. By following their instincts and emotions, they take part and become art.
