DIVE Madhouse

DIVE Madhouse is the pseudonym of contemporary abstract artist, Fredrik Sologub, a Paris-born artist currently residing in Sweden. Working from the DIVE Madhouse Atelier and Showroom in Gothenburg, Fredrik produces colourful original works, spanning the abstract spectra from dreamy in form, to playful in figure.

He works improvisationally and experimentally, in physically very active sessions, varying from 1 to 6-7-8 hours straight using bold colours on large canvases. Fredrik creates intuitively, using experimental techniques in a range of media including oils, acrylics, spray paint, pastels and markers which are expressed using palette knives, large raw brushes and small fine brushes, vintage cloth and bare hands.

His work has attracted an increasingly international audience. In the past two years DIVE Madhouse has exhibited in eight prize, group and solo exhibitions in London, Foshan, Gothenburg, Laguna Beach, Zhengzhou, Guangzhou and Bristol. Future projects include an artist residency in TriBeCa and exhibitions in Venice, Italy and New York, USA.
