Levenspeil Sangalang

Levenspeil Sangalang, also known as Leven, is a visual artist from the Philippines. His practice focusses on graphic design and digital illustration. Leven’s personal artwork is best described as amalgamations of swaying colours and visceral emotion, and he sees his practice as an instrument of narrative and statement. Rembrandt and Magritte have influenced his work.

His relationship with art began at an early age and led him to De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde: School of Design and Arts where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Multimedia Arts.

Leven was the art director of his university’s visual yearbook and a Gawad Benildyano awardee, an awards ceremony hosted by his university to recognise students with exemplary work.

Leven has experience working with a variety of commercial clients. He has collaborated with celebrities for branding projects and produced design work for numerous publishing companies.
