Maria Bosetti

American illustrator and animator Maria Bosetti’s work is inspired by her love for animated films and cites ‘Kubo and the Two Strings’ and ‘Paprika’ as notable favourites.

She is also influenced by her environment and the people around her. Maria says, “My work is an opportunity to remember the childlike wonder and a reminder of how we should keep that within ourselves throughout our lives. I also love to study emotions and how people can deal with those emotions that we all feel in our lives.”

Maria works digitally using ToonBoom and a range of Adobe products including Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Flash and more. 

She received her BFA in Cinema at the Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where she learned traditional animation and minored in drawing. Maria considers her senior thesis film, ‘RED’ to be one of her notable projects. 

Today, Maria lives in Burbank, California and participates in conventions and creative events where her work is available to view and purchase.
