Cohen Gum
A couch potato kid fed on a steady diet of cartoons like ‘Rocko’s Modern Life’ and ‘Aaahh!!! Real Monsters’ provided Cohen Gum with the inspiration and initial motivation to teach himself everything he needed to pursue a career in the art and design industry.
Cohen now works as a freelance designer, artist and illustrator based in Canberra, Australia. His work is zany, detailed and sometimes disturbing. He uses bold lines, rough textures and bright colours to bring his art to life.
Often, Cohen’s work focuses on darker themes like anxiety, which was the focus of his first solo exhibition. He has also worked on projects for Harley Davidson and Jet.com.
