Yuelan Liu

“I am a graphic designer based in Brussels. I obtained a bachelor degree in graphic design and have also completed front-end development training.

I love spending my free time drawing and creating. I am inspired by a diverse range of artists, such as Victo Ngai, Jean Juillen, Malika Favre, Eiko Ojala just to name a few. They all have very different styles, some are colourful, some minimal. I learn a lot from studying their work.

I try to create illustrations that are simple and fun. I also enjoy mixing two different themes or subjects together. I produce my work primarily using a pencil or black ink for hand drawings. When working digitally, I primarily use Adobe Illustrator.”
