Julie Olmstead

Julie Olmstead is a San Francisco based illustrator and graphic designer. Throughout her career, Olmstead has established a list of clients such as The North Face, Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Athleta, Peek Kids, American Eagle, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, Spanx, and the Coca Cola Company.

Olmstead’s true passion is painting and drawing she loves finding an excuse to get off the screen and onto the paper. There are almost always hand-drawn elements in her work.

Olmstead is a Georgia native and studied painting at the University of Georgia, receiving her B.F.A. and finishing with a graduate degree in Illustration at The Portfolio Center in Atlanta. While a majority of her work is done in the commercial realm, her personal work brings to life the relationships of people and animals within their natural surroundings.
