Alonzo Canto

LA-based freelance artist Alonzo Canto combines his love of the loose, expressive nature of watercolour painting with self taught digital expertise in his illustrative work.

Primarily self-taught, with just a few art classes up his sleeve, Alonzo utilizes Adobe Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint for his digital artwork. His painterly works have a distinctive Mexi-Cali influence, with some pieces featuring sugar skull characters and fresh, bright takes on ordinarily dark themes.

From 2011 to 2014, he participated in several art shows. In 2013 he was invited to join in a Bottleneck Gallery show in New York.

As an artist, he works across a range of disciplines including character design, illustrations and more.
