James Peay

“I’m a Virginia native that grew up reading action comics since I was a child. I’ve passionately pursued a career in illustration, receiving a bachelor’s degree at Pratt Institute and recently relocating to Burbank, California to continue the grind. My work can best be described as dynamic, vibrant, and bold. Like two of my favourite artists, James Jean and Katsuya Terada, I transition from utilising traditional media such as acrylics, inks and graphite to digital.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with some great companies including Netflix, Saban’s Power Rangers, Tokyo Pop and Adidas Licensing to name a few. Two projects that I’m most proud of, is custom painting a Chevy Camaro miniature for charity and being a part of the design team that designed the 2016 USA Olympic swimsuits for TYR athletes.

Currently, I’m working with Cynosure Creative Agency as a multimedia artist, developing design, illustration and video content for companies such as Netflix and ABC. I am always looking for new clients to push my skills further and create jaw dropping creative material.”
