Stijn Felix

Stijn Felix is a seasoned illustrator who lives and works in Ghent, Belgium. Many popular Belgian media companies have commissioned his work, from editorial illustrations, to book covers, album artwork and cultural posters. His work has a penchant for the dark, the devious and the melancholic but is always lit up by a subtle sense of humour. Pencils, paint and Adobe Photoshop are brought into the mix with vintage and well-worn organic textures.

Stijn has a fascination for the work of old masters such as Leon Spilliaert and Egon Schiele, as well as new masters including Nicolas de Crécy, Lorenzo Mattotti and Wolf Erlbruch. He is also inspired by ephemeral prints, horror posters, vintage pulp zines and matchbox labels.
