Andrea Plazzi

Self-taught Italian illustrator Andrea Plazzi currently works out of Bologna, Italy where he constructs carefully detailed works that result in finely crafted, visually striking artworks.

He aims to find an elegant and effective fusion between his illustrations and graphics to create solutions that have maximum impact and solidity. His pursuit of detail is the essential key to his work which covers a range of subjects and is constructed with a combination of elements.

He works almost exclusively with both ink and graphite and then applies colour to his work digitally.

Inspiration for his work comes from poster art, especially gig and movie posters, Art Nouveau works and the Vienna Secession art movement including artists such as Klimt.
