Lokhaan

Lokhaan is the alter ego of Thibault Meunier, a freelance illustrator and graphic designer based in Paris, France. His artworks are influenced by fusing together both Art Nouveau and iconic comic book elements.

After graduating in 2007 from Sainte-Geneviève Institute in Paris with a degree in animation, Lokhaan worked in the animation industry for three years. Initially, he worked as a vector artist on the popular French cartoon WAKFU, and then as a character designer on the follow-up animated cartoon Dofus, Kerubim’s Bazaar.

Fed by 80s and 90s cartoons and video games throughout his childhood, and later influenced by comic books, science fiction, and electronic music, Lokhaan also takes inspiration from various other sources including vintage horror and fantasy VHS covers, to 70’s science fiction book illustrations.

Lokhaan mostly works digitally, occasionally returning to his roots by using ink and paper depending on projects. His skills and experience range from apparel design and band merchandising, to character and logo design. He frequently uses bold colours and has an obsessive attention to detail in his work.
