Claudia Limacher
Claudia Limacher is an abstract, impressionistic artist who is inspired by nature and it’s organic forms. “In my art, I want to explore the interconnectedness of each soul with nature. Each brushstroke represents to me as an individual soul, the overlapping and mixing of colours, shapes and materials the interwoven layers of lives with each other.”
She produces her work using acrylic, oil, spray paint and pigments. The combination of mixed media enables Claudia to transfer her emotions onto the canvas without boundaries. She is an autodidact who works intuitively, welcoming spontaneity into her creative process; “In my work I embrace the unexpected, giving the materials I use a chance to show me what they want to do, at some point interpreting the effects on the canvas.”
Claudia’s work is represented by galleries in the US, China and Europe. Her art is appreciated by enthusiasts around the world and featured in private collections alongside pieces by David Hockney and Tony Cragg. She discovered her passion for painting following a serendipitous visit to an open studio in 2013.
She currently resides in Lucerne, Switzerland with her family and is in her studio as often as possible.
