Peter Foesters

An artist with a passion for graphics and painting, he sought his way in modelling recognisable objects in plaster and clay. His creative practice evolved in the early 2000s, where he began modelling and painting movie scenes on canvas.

“Always keep searching and reinventing yourself, that’s the key!”

Today he produces his work using a unique technique combining polystyrene on canvas, a material he believes brings depth his work. A colour palette of bright fluorescent colours and black is characteristic of his style. He describes his art as ‘simple’ as it features the use of only straight lines to evoke a sense of tension.

Describing his work, Peter says “By using straight lines I try to bring depth in my work, this gives it an extra dimension. That’s why I call it ‘the straight dimensions’.”
