Daniel Lundvall

Daniel Lundvall (b.1976) is a Swedish visual artist, graphic designer and art director.

Daniel studied at the Graphic Education Center between 1993-1995 and undertook further studies in graphic design at Forsbergs School in 2001.

Working as an art director at an advertising agency, Daniel’s days are filled with colour and form, where his work often is based on specific requisites and set frameworks. Therefore, when painting, he is instead drawn to the abstract and multidimensional aspects of creativity.

Daniel works with different techniques on wood and rusty plate. Some paintings are lacquered which gives a new and intense colour rendering. The paintings rarely have a given motive; instead, Daniel strives to elicit emotions and feelings. When carefully observing the paintings, you continuously discover new dimensions in the colours, depth and structure. Daniel considers his art to be an essential detail to a room that either contrasts or completes the interior.
