Comfort Love and Adam Withers are an award-nominated husband and wife team. Since 2009 they have been full-time self-published comic creators. Their titles include The Uniques, Rainbow in the Dark and Kitty Game. They have also authored the book, The Complete Guide to Self-Publishing Comics (Random House).

 They describe their work as ‘Animated Realism’, combining the movement of animation with the structure of realism.

Comfort and Adam prefer to work digitally because this enables them to produce work that resembles the media they grew up working in and loving. They use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Clip Studio Pro, InDesign, Premier, and Wordpress Digital in their practice. Comic artists Adam Hughes, Joe Madureira, J Scott Campbell, Alex Ross and Kevin Maguire have had a profound influence on their work. They also draw inspiration from illustrators including Drew Struzan and designers such as David Carson.

Comfort and Adam live and work in Wyoming, Michigan, United States but are often travelling throughout the United States as guests of comic cons and anime shows. They can also be engaged for motivational/educational speaking at conventions and colleges.
