Johanna Pettersson

Graphic designer and communicator, Johanna Pettersson currently lives in Sundsvall, Sweden. She is completing her studies for her bachelor’s degree at Mid Sweden University and will graduate in June 2019. Besides graphic design, she has a significant interest in traditional illustration, mostly aquarelle paintings. “I like the connection I get when painting in aquarelle, the feeling that I can’t completely control the movement of the colours and I can’t just erase a ‘mistake’ as quickly as I could with the digital art form, you have to go with the flow and the outcome is always different.

My inspiration is mostly found in nature. I like the beauty of imperfection, the crack of a leaf or a tear in a petal, in how every single flower is unique. The challenge I find colouring them is also very satisfying. 

I’m a young, creative and conceptual artist. I like to explore different techniques and I am constantly challenging myself, learning and growing as a creative.”
