Madeline Hagy

Madeline was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She later “adventured” over to Savannah, Georgia where she received a BFA in Illustration and minor in printmaking at Savannah College of Art and Design. 

Her illustrations are a combination of analogue line work, digital colour, elements of collage and screen printing for final touches. Madeline states that she “enjoys capturing the organised chaos of child-like fun, screaming, smashing, and playfully provoking the best kind of serious silliness.” Her inspirations range from 80’s slasher and B-horror films, Chicago’s Hairy Who artists, Jim Nutt and Karl Wirsum, to WWE’s Stone Cold Steve Austin. 

She recently curated her first exhibition, Heehaw Town Fun-Time, a group show in Savannah, GA. 

For now, she has moved home to Austin, TX and is ready for any and all fun that comes her way.
