Emil Ulfhammer

“Wherever I go I always bring my pen and my sketchbook. I draw all the time. I like to draw fast. Sometimes, I don’t even lift the pen from the paper.” 

The swiftly drawn lines of Swedish artist Emil Ulfhammer have an obvious command of form and careful, explorative nature. 

Emil studied graphic arts, graphic design and illustration in schools throughout Sweden for many years. He finds inspiration in people and animals, especially birds. Emil is working on completing a book project which consists of his own original story accompanied by illustrations with plans to eventually publish this book. 

Emil currently resides in Gothenburg, Sweden. He is part of a screenprinting studio where he prints his drawings and can experiment with colour and texture. His artwork has been exhibited extensively including Sweden’s biggest art fair, Liljevalchs Vårsalong in 2014 and in Berlin, Germany.
